A lifetime around landscaping, nature and stone

Hi, I’m Siobhan, founder of eStone Direct, and my connection with landscaping and natural stone began when I was just 13 years old.

My parents owned a garden supplies business, supplying landscapers and helping customers create their outdoor spaces. My father later owned a stone quarry in Yea, supplying Highland Slate for more than 15 years.

Growing up around landscaping and quarrying gave me a genuine understanding of natural stone from an early age — where it comes from, how it behaves and how to choose the right material for a project.

I went on to study Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management, with a particular interest in geology. I also worked as an Outdoor Education Instructor, with a passion for the outdoors and rock climbing, which I still enjoy today.

After years of experience across landscaping, natural materials and the outdoors, I returned to the industry I had grown up around and founded eStone Direct, which I ran for 10 years.

More than just paving

Although paving is a big part of what we do, I’m passionate about all things stone.

Travertine, limestone, bluestone, granite, marble, sandstone, wall cladding, pool coping, fireplaces, hearths and custom stonework — I love helping clients find the right material and the right solution.

I particularly enjoy projects where there isn’t an obvious off-the-shelf answer.

Curved pool coping, unusual spaces, custom hearths or unique architectural details — these are the projects I love.

I work closely with experienced fabricators and stonemasons to create custom pieces that are unique to each project, while always looking for ways to keep them practical and affordable.

I’m naturally bubbly, approachable and love chatting with my clients.
